Absurd
This photograph was taken by David Shrigley. I think its a absurd photo because beds are made for human beings not a balloon , also a balloon does not need sleep and doesn't have a face. So the photographer has thought out of the box for this picture and done something unusual and strange. The balloon looks like if it were to be a human it would be very comfortable. David has clearly thought about this picture in every little detail. The colours all fit together really well, and if the balloon was any other colour it would not look as realistic , as is it the closest colour to a human being.

Activity 2 :
Sir set us a task to take a set of pictures based on 'Hiding'. My plan is to go around the school and see where and what I can use to hide with.
We found quite a few good places to hide around the school. However some of the pictures are not in focus which my next set of photos I will make sure they are in focus. We thought to start us of we would go around the school and just look at the different places we could hide or things we could use. We found some good places , however the pictures are not too the best quality. I think I could of explored more and the quality of the photos could of been better , which with my next set I will aim for a better quality of photos and more places to hide or thing to hide with.
2nd set of photos - with this set I am aiming to get a better quality and a variety of photos.
My 2nd set of photos were more successful than my 1st , the 2nd set were more focused and I thought about them in more detail,. I was walking around the school and was looking at all the possible places to hide , I also found 2 cones when walking around and asked people to hide behind it. We also got a basketball and used that to hide behind as well which is a good shape.
Here are some pictures I found on google when looking for absurd signs , I will use this for inspiration and come up with something a little bit familiar.
I'm going to get post it notes and write random words on them , and then stick them on things that they don't belong on. I think it will be successful , however I'm going to write on some post it notes and edit some on the computer in photoshop for a neater finish. Some of these photos were taken by David Shrigley , he does several things including drawing , books and sculptures , most of his photos involve words and its just something different. Its absurd how he can turn a box upside down , cut a hole and write 'leisure centre' on it and create a interesting photograph that loads of people are going to view. He is a british visual artist and was born 17 september 1968 , in Cheshire.
Set 2-
I think these set of photos we're successful , they are to a good quality and I personally think they reached my aim for this set of photos. I just write anything on a post it note and placed it with something that doesn't match what is written on the note. Some of the picture you see will have post it notes with nothing written on them , I am going to edit these ones in photoshop and compare the difference , and also see what ones work better.
I think these 3 photos worked the best for several different reasons.
I think this photo worked well because when you picture a apple , you think of a circle , green , edible piece of fruit. However when you look at the object this post it note is on , its a rectangle , green , non edible hand bag.

This photo worked well because as you can see it is a fire alarm but iv'e played around with it and put an absurd sign on it. Also gold isn't really that rare for it to just be in places for you to get.

I think this photo is really interesting as well as absurd. I took it at a different angle to the rest , also its on a window ledge and its a dark and dull background. Where as a pineapple is a bright , exotic fruit and people would image a bright image in there head but really its a dull image and background. Also I made a point of doing all the p's in capitals.

Forced Perspective
Forced perspective is a technique which makes an object look further away , smaller , closer or larger than it actually is. it is basically an optical illusion. It is mainly used in photography , filmmaking and architecture.
Set 1-
This is my first attempt at forced perspective photos , I think they could of been better but I was just having a first go and targeting anyone I see during the change of lessons. However some of the photos did work well , the top 3 could be put into one picture and be a series as there all in the same atmosphere and same person. I maybe could of used character figures and done the same I done to the people walking by.
