Groups
You should make connections with appropriate selected sources when developing your personal response to one of the following suggestions.
(a) Develop your own interpretation of the theme groups
(b) You could photograph groups of objects chosen for their similar visual qualities.
(c) You might produce work based on groups of people

I have chose (a) to develop your own interpretations of the theme groups. As I think there is a lot of thing I could experiment with during this course using the theme groups.
typology
A typology is a picture of a group of objects which are all the same type but different patterns , shapes etc. For example I could get a group of people and give them all A4 paper and ask them to make a paper plane. They would all be the same size as they are being made from the same size paper , however everyone would make them different some would be better than others.

Here are some examples of typology. Their all different in there own ways as each one has used different objects and thought about what they we're going to do before they have gone out and photographed. I am going to use these pictures to inspire me so I can recreate something like these but using different objects.
Set 1
I am going to take a quick set of photos in the classroom , their going to be over shoulder photos of students on there laptops.
For my next set of photos , I am going to take pictures of several different cameras which are all different shapes , sizes etc. I'm going to take quite a few pictures and then create a typology with the best photos.
With these pictures , I think the black and white works well and I got a object and person in the picture together , however I rushed these photos and it was just a quick idea. If I was to take this set of photos again I would make sure they was all at the same angle so they look more like a typology.

Set 2.
I think this set was successful as the pictures are all in focus and from the same point of view. From here I need to choose the best one for each camera and then go on to create a typology with the pictures , it should be a successful typology because they are all the same objects but different patterns , size etc.
Here are the 9 photos I've chosen:
Typology & photograms.
I created these images by going into the dark room and using light sensitive photographic paper , which is specialised to be used in the dark room and can not be exposed to light or it is no good. These images did not take long to create and are a good typology/photogram.
Set 3
With these images I just used a white backdrop and placed the selotape in any random order and sometimes I did not place them directly on top of each other.

Set 5
Artist Research : Idris Khan
Idris Khan was born in 1978 , he is a artist based in London. He isn't a photographer , he uses other peoples images and creates a layered image which looks very abstract. His work is in exhibitions all over the world for example he has work in Germany , London , Toronto and many more places. The reason I have decided to research Idris Khan is because I could use my photos and in photoshop edit them to overlay each other , which it will still be groups so it suits my question. If you look at the pictures above you can see Tower Bridge (bottom left) which he has collected a few photographs , which other people have taken and then overlayed them to create his own image.
How to create a overlay image in photoshop:
First image
Im going to go outside and take pictures , as the weather is nice and there is several objects I can take pictures of outside to form a group.
This image is different to the others one because I chose different overlaying affects in photoshop. I decided to do this so I can get several different outcomes and see what one works the best. With my other images I have just used overlay by itself , whereas with this image I chose a couple different ones like 'darken' 'multiply' as well still using overlay.
These are my two first final images which have been mounted and presented.
This is my second final piece.
